Privacy Policy
Reel Rivals is a movie trivia game made by Reel Rivals LLC ("we"). This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information kept on your device
Your career points, rank, trophies, Lobby Card (favorite movie, genre and tagline), settings and game history are saved on your iPhone. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your username and name
When you create a profile, you choose a username and can add a first and last name. Names are optional. Your username, any name you enter, and your rank are saved in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) public database so other Reel Rivals players can find and challenge you. When you challenge someone by username, a short invite with your username, display name and a match code is saved there for them. Anyone using Reel Rivals can search for your username or name. To remove your profile, email us (see our Support page).
Game Center
Friend matches, Group Showdowns and leaderboards use Apple's Game Center, which supplies your Game Center name and photo. When you play a match, your scores, showcase vehicle and Lobby Card are shared with the other players in that match. Apple handles this information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app sends daily puzzle reminders and alerts when it's your turn or someone challenges you. Challenge alerts are delivered through Apple's iCloud and push notification services.
Advertising
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location based on that address, and how you interact with ads. Reel Rivals asks your permission before allowing tracking for personalized ads; if you decline, ads are not personalized using your advertising identifier. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
Children
Reel Rivals is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Leave your name blank and use only a username.
- Turn tracking on or off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Turn notifications on or off in Settings → Notifications → Reel Rivals.
- Manage Game Center in Settings → Game Center.
- Email us to remove your username and name from the player directory.
- Delete the app to remove all data stored on your device.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Privacy questions can go to the email address on our Support page.
